Significantly reduce the time needed to create usable boot media and remove one of the bigger barriers to updating the ADK you are using. Adding the network and storage drivers you need to newly created boot media.
With the new “Current Branch” model of ConfigMgr and Windows 10 we can expect a faster release cycle of the ADK, which means new boot images pretty regularly! Creating new boot media is really simple. However, reimporting all of your required drivers into that boot image can be a real chore. Here is a script that that identifies the drivers in a source boot image and imports them into a destination image. Give it a spin and give me some feedback.

Deploying hundreds if not thousands of systems on a national or international digital signage roll out is a daunting task for any organization. As a system integrator with a focus on device management we have helped companies prepare devices for field deployment by third party implementation companies for years.
A Typical Deployment
The deployment process usually plays out as a multi-stage process involving a different partner at each step. First, an operating system image is designed in collaboration with our engineers, the Digital Signage/CMS provider and the end-user, and optionally an operations/monitoring partner. What is the DICE Portal?
The Now Micro DICE Portal is an interactive web interface based on our Device Information Collector Engine (DICE) software. DICE is a solution created at Now Micro to automate data collection of hardware and order information for devices we sell. Historically, when customers wanted information about the devices they had purchased from us, that information had to be manually collected and aggregated into a spreadsheet. The DICE Portal allows our customers direct access to the data collected about their purchases.

How often are system administrators asked to provision computer labs or groups of computers for single use type scenarios such as testing terminals, kiosks or library machines? Or make a lab available for outside groups to use a single application? This is typically accomplished by a mess of specific user credentials and group policy settings which never fully accomplish the goal and leave a lot to be desired. The Lab Manager plugin for Recast Right Click Tools Enterprise helps you use Microsoft ConfigMgr 2012 to better manage these scenarios and many more.

Configuration Manager (ConfigMgr) console extensions have been a widely used tool for administrators to augment the functionality provided by ConfigMgr. The Now Micro Right Click Tools (Right Click Tools) allow administrators to interact with their ConfigMgr clients in real time, enabling them to shortcut some of the wait times associated with an asynchronous client-based architecture. This blog post will cover how to automate the deployment of the Now Micro Right Click Tools using the ConfigMgr application model. The Right Click Tools require the .Net Framework 4.5 or higher, Windows Management Framework 3 or higher, and the Configuration Manager console as prerequisites. See the linked blog posts for more information on how to create silent installations for these applications.
