Many different models do this, but the newest model, Stable Diffusion, has released its code and model weights publicly, unlike previous proprietary text-to-image models like DALL-E and Midjourney which are only accessible via the cloud. Developed by Stability AI, CompVis LMU, and Runway, Stable Diffusion can run on most consumer or commercial hardware equipped with at least 8GB VRAM.
